When a client orders a painting on canvas, I can use some of the following to develop the work: Photos I take or from the client, (animals, landscapes, and buildings), paint samples, or fabric swatches. First, the client chooses the size painting that will fit the intended wall and then we work on subject and colors that will work with the decor.
When a client orders a mural, there are several things to take into consideration. We plan the subject matter, size, budget, and time frame for the mural to be completed.
What kind of wall will the mural be painted on?
Cinder Block Walls: (Schools, Commercial Buildings) Wall preparation may be necessary because of seams or general overall condition. If the wall has a new coat of epoxy, it may need to cure prior to painting the mural.
Sheet Rock Walls: The preparation of the walls prior to receiving the mural painting should be done by a house painter. They should be well primed if they are new walls. If the client would like a clear coat to protect the mural, they will be responsible for that part.
Places that I have painted murals include: Stores, Private Homes, Hospitals, Retirement Homes, Commercial Office Buildings, Dental Clinics, and Schools. I am very accustomed to working around busy places with lots of pedestrian traffic.
If a client would like a piece of furniture painted, it should arrive ready to receive the decorative painting. All repairs, sanding, de-glossing, or priming is the responsibility of the client as I simply don’t have time to do that part.
We realize that each project will be different and will be handled accordingly. I am very flexible when assisting with the design phase of a project.
Paintings can be created on stretched canvas, canvas panel, canvas paper, or other suitable surfaces.
You can contact me with questions about various projects at any time. I look forward to hearing from you.
